Feeling sad, or what we may call “depressed”, happens to all of us. The so-called Depression is a medical illness that causes a constant feeling of sadness and lack of interest. This sensation usually passes after a while. However, people with depression find it hard to go about their day-to-day activities, and may also feel that life is not worth living.
On the whole, Depression affects how the person feels, behaves and thinks and can lead to emotional and physical problems.
No wonder, I feel so low,
See no place, I could go
Can’t put it off with a shrug
It’s deep inside
this notorious thug
Ah! Its human, this sensation,
I convince my kind
But my hearts altercation,
steals the very peace of mind
Is it the warmth of people,
that I need?
Or my income to triple?
Asks my greed
Not alone my satisfaction
that I may expect
But a lot of appreciation,
with due respect
To all these expectations, there’s no end
But there should be something,
that I could mend
Quick! Should find a solution
Before am taken by Depression

Before the medicalisation of temperaments and states of mind it was called ‘melancholy’ ! In Shakespeare’s time it was thought to be caused by an excess of black bile! See my ‘review’ of Hamlet on my blog. 😉

Very apt lines to convey all about Depression. I guess we also should be postive to help deal with the situation.
If i am sad because of somebody else, i just ignore them and think they are just one aspect of life, which will pass soon.
