The first two days of A to Z April Challenge and Global Poetry Writing Month went really well and i really hope this continues.Coming back from a break,i found this wonderful new form of poetry called
A type of traditional Russian poetry, is a single quatrain in trochaic tetrameter with an abab or abcb rhyme scheme. Usually humorous, satirical, or ironic in nature, chastushkas are often put to music as well. The rigid, short structure (and, to a lesser degree, the type of humor used) parallels limericks in British culture.
Heres my hand at Chastushka…
A beautiful girl, oh yes, very smart
Exhibited all her intelligence
Just Imagine, Won a war, without fought
And made me loose my heart to ignorance
