A Call from Mother Earth

On this World Environment day, Let us stop blaming Man for everything. He maybe responsible to a certain extent but the self-guilt accumulated consumes away generations like waiting for the end on a death bed.

Written this in continuation to the Earth day” musings from April  for this World Environment day

I strike a loud bell

for people to hear

Let them understand

I am not solely theirs

either to destroy or

It is not in their hands

to bring back a lost life

Ageing cannot be stopped,

that is not the way of

Yes, it is indeed selfish

to try save me again & again

I know they need me

for them to sustain

But, hear me dear people

of this so called

Every life that is born

has to die some day and

like any other death, has to be

Tanka for the Earth day

Presenting another Japanese form for this month; i.e, ‘waka’  or ‘uta’ also known as ,

In Japanese, tanka is often written in one straight line, but in English and other languages, we usually divide the lines into the five syllabic units : 5-7-5-7-7.

Have a look at my Tanka which I am linking to the Day 22 prompt of Napowrimo for #Earth day:

earth day

Acquired all riches,
from natural resources,
Man lucky enough
As biodiversity,
built past centuries perish

Q: Question remains,will anybody answer?

Moving on to week four, hurray, and here’s the Lesson seventeen, a little experienced talk comes into picture now 😉

Is everything we had lost,

cos’ of which life could sustain?

Did every resource exhaust?

and the balance unable to maintain?

Why not when,

In his greedy lust for power

He destroyed old natures will

For the sake of the filthy dollar

He dirtied the nest he build

Now it is known to all,

Ahh, what a shame

Invited a natures brawl,

And who is to blame?

Having said so much about life and people,we shouldn’t forget that Life is an integral part of Nature and meddling with it might result in extinction of Life as a whole.

The verse,

In his greedy lust for power

He destroys old natures will

For the sake of the filthy dollar

He dirties the nest he builds .”

is picked up from a poem by  ‘Noonuccal Oodgeroo’

Mother Nature

How beautiful is Mother Nature!

With full of big and small creatures

When all its beauty blooms,

There is no room for gloom

While the flowers paint the nature colourful,

The rivers and mountains make it look more wonderful

It gives us life with our daily food

What all, it makes us feel so good.
